I'm excited to host the blog tour today for Decorate (along with tulips & flight suits!). My favorite design books are ones that are not only interesting and inspiring, but worth referencing again and again. Holly Becker (from Decor8) and Joanna Copestick have done just that with their book Decorate. It's a wonderful resource for anyone interested in design, decorating, or personalizing a home.
I usually sit down and devour design books immediately, but I've been taking my time with Decorate because there is so much great content. In addition to beautiful photographs + ideas, they also include room layout sketches throughout to help you understand the overall spaces (my favorite part!). Seriously, this book was worth every penny.

I've been dying to get my hands on a copy of this book! I'm moving in a week (!) into an old home with beautiful white walls and wood floors. A copy of Decorate would be a wonderful resource as I piece together our new home. This will be our last July 4 in Maine, so the boy and I are going to catch some fireworks and hit the beach :)

Oooo I love hearing that this is the sort of book that I could pace myself on, not just flip, flip, flip and stare at the pretty pictures.
As for my fourth of July weekend plans, I am going to eat BBQ with my Honey B all weekend, read books in the park under the sunny sunshine, walk barefoot in the grass, and watch the fireworks explode cha cha cha!
Though I love buying new books all the time, we are pinching our pennies around here for new furniture... I am sure I would get amazing inspiration from Decorate!
