I'm not the best at caring for plants, and we don't have many spots in the house with good light & safety from the cats, but I'm itching for more green in the house. I'm looking for a big plant for our bare living room. Maybe a lemon tree.

for my apartment the number issue is the cat, I swear every time I look at our palm plant the cat is just chewing on it, they just loooove to destroy things.
i'm not so good at caring for plants either. a lemon tree sounds awesome! have you ever tried a succulent? they're not really big, but they are generally suppose to be easier to take care of.
i agree, so pretty. i've looked into getting a lemon tree too! let me know how it goes if you get one. that bedroom is so cozy, i just want to jump in it!
Alli, until I moved into our house almost 4 years ago with its garden full of trees and shrubbery I never appreciated how beautiful it looked, I grew up in a Victorian Terrace with a courtyard rather than a garden. Everyday I just feel happy just by looking out into my garden.
Cheers

Ah! I completely agree! I love the beautiful photo of the bedroom! It is so dreamy and magical!
I do not have green fingers myself, but i definitely adore and love the greenery very very much. I fell in love with that second photo. I would love waking up to such dreamy greenery every morning.
oh my goodness, i LOVE those window boxes! great post :)
after living in california for a bit, we had a real lemon tree in the yard and ever since i have been wanting one! its been over *ahem* 20+ years. afraid to have one in our cold weather climate :O(
I want to lie in that bed all day, drinking tea, reading books, and looking out the lovely window...
I agree Alli - greenery seems to complete a home somehow. I have that second image in my inspiration folder too - it looks like the comfiest bed ever to curl up with a nice cuppa x
