We're slowly making over our laundry/mudroom - a shoebox-sized space off our garage that houses our laundry area, coats & shoes, and the un-glamorous litter box that greets us upon entry (oh, how I wish we had somewhere else to put that thing!). We are hoping to make the space a lot more functional (and welcoming) than its current state and I have some before shots, along with some progress, to share next week. Here's a peek at my inspiration for the room.
1 & 2: colorful entryway and painted knobs, from Martha Stewart.
3: striped rug & clean white, from House and Home.

I like the different coloured knobs at different heights - how darling!
We have been doing the same thing! It's funny how such a small space can make a big impact when you change it :)
i love this ides... the images are gorgeous!
I dream of a pretty, functional mudroom! Have you ever watched Sarah's House on HGTV? The first season, she did the most amazing mudroom. I still remember it...
I wish our house had a mudroom. It might be perfect then. I was just thinking the other day about a house we really liked but thought was out of our budget (it ended up being the same price as the house we bought). That house had a really great mudroom and a cute red back door. I had all kinds of ideas for it! I'm glad we went with the house we did though because it really is better all around. But a mudroom...oh how sweet that would be :)
