I'd forgotten to share a little aha moment I had with sewing awhile back. Thanks to Liz's easy zipper tutorial, I officially sewed on my first zipper and now I can make any size bag I'd like with whatever pieces of fabric I have on hand. It feels so fancy for a lazy beginning sewer like me, and I use my bag all the time for traveling. Above is a quick sketch for reference, and my only tip: use a cuter zipper!

oh that's awesome! such a great zipper tutorial. it's usually the zipper that stops me from making all sorts of great projects. they always seem so intimidating, but that tutorial made it seem so simple. thanks for sharing!!

Cute! Sewing a zipper is really easy, but the first time I did it, I was so intimidated! I agree - a cute zipper makes all the difference.

So cute, Alli! I wish I could sew. I don't know if I'll ever find the discipline to sit down and learn, especially when places like H&M sell so many cute little bags for under $10 (I know, I'm terrible!)
