Q made it home from training in WI, so Saturday was spent together: afternoon date to see Midnight in Paris and a trip to Randazzo's fruit market to load up on produce. I liked the movie! It was funny, charming, and had an interesting theme behind it all about nostalgia & creativity.
Sunday we spent most of the day shooting with Andrea in Ohio at the Botanical Gardens (it was so pretty there!), and then for Q's birthday surprise I'd gotten tickets to the local Mud Hens baseball game. Nothing huge, just a fun minor league game for us to check out, eat junk food at (pretzel for me, hot dog for him), and say hello to the start of summer.

I saw it this weekend and blogged about it, too! Very inspiring and thought-provoking for creative people like us. I was totally surprised by the actual plot. They kept it very well under wraps for what it turned out to be. I loved it. :)
this weekend was all about saying "hello to summer" for me too! i've been meaning to see Midnight in Paris, glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Sounds like a lovely weekend! I'm dying to see Midnight in Paris..
I just saw Midnight in Paris and I'm slightly obsessed. To me it felt like the cinematic equivalent of eating a piece of candy (if you like candy, which I do). I was also glad I'd just read the Paris Wife, which details Hemingway's time in Paris. But it's more of a downer so I'd recommend watching the movie as an antidote to the book.
I saw Midnight in Paris too this weekend too! Such a great movie
Anna, perfect analogy for a fellow candy lover...I brought my chocolate w/me to the movie too. : )
Sounded like a good weekend, Alli! I like movies that are nostalgia, funny and quirky. Perhaps i should try watching it. Have a goody week!
Your weekend sounds adorable! I saw Midnight in Paris last Tuesday and felt the same way about it. After it was over, I looked at my friends and said, "that was silly!" I meant it - it was silly, funny, quirky, adorable and charming all at once. After, we went across the street and had crepes in the garden. It felt appropriate!
The film looks interesting, may have to check it out ;) Sounds a v romantic weekend :)
