pause

The people in Japan have filled our thoughts and prayers lately. I'm taking off early this week to focus on ways to help, to take extra time to pray for them as well as a few other people in our life that are in need of support right now.

Last week I started planning ways to improve my time and energy used between my work and life. After my medical scare last month, I'm focusing more on my health and have started evening walks and plan to begin yoga. It feels really good. After all of the tests, we haven't found any answers but I feel ready to move on, to take better care of myself, and just trust in God for the rest of it.

Thanks as always for reading and visiting here, your support means so much. Wishing you a restful weekend, and hope to be back Monday to share one of the projects Andrea and I worked on recently (see a peek here!).

Yoga is such a wonderful thing. It's helped me tremendously to slow down and take more moments to reflect on life and listen to my body. I can promise that it will help you find a better balance. :)

yoga (any stretching) is great for the mind and body. i understand how you must be feeling. i spent 6 years knowing something wasn't quite right before they discovered the celiac. i hope nothing at all is off and this is just a little bump in the road with a simple answer. in the meantime...i just listed the blanket details over on the fb page. it's facebook.com/thisfreebird - and the blanket is on sale! it is truly wonderful and maybe just the little pick me up you need :)

also participating in silence for japan tomorrow. the devastation has really shaken me.

xo,
carrie

Oh Alli I am in full agreement. Sometimes the pace of life just speeds up without my consent, and it's always great to take pauses and reflect. My heart is so full for all the suffering in Japan right now--I love your idea of taking extra time to pray for them. Maybe we could team up for some relief efforts/ideas? xo.

I just spent four days mostly offline and it felt amazing. I've been feeling similar thoughts about finding balance, and I think I felt it more than usual this week because of what happened in Japan. But, the sky is blue and spring officially starts tomorrow. Above anything, I'm feeling grateful that I am able to appreciate those things.
