I'd like to add a little more nautical flair to the rooms in our house, even if it's just a small striped pillow or vignette of collected objects here or there. Some inspiration:

relaxing bedroom (via), and a dresser with pretty objects
a modern take on nautical (via lanalou)
Saturday we're checking out local yard sales looking for frames and mirrors. I rarely have any luck with it, but I'm going to try my best to drag myself out of bed to arrive early. Hoping your weekend plans are a little more exciting than ours!

I just picked up a mirror at a garage sale this morning! too funny. Garage sales are exciting to hunt for things.
These rooms are heaven. I just love navy and white together.

okay you're killing me with these pictures...i have GOT to get this place cleaned up so I can get some pictures to you. mine's not as fancy as the above nautical, but it's definitely got nautical as well as some of the elements you mentioned last week.

such beautiful spaces! i am so into the nautical colors lately. I think it's because it's summer. My usual love for all-white takes a bit of a backseat to blue and white once the warm weather rolls in. And i always have and always will be a lover of stripes.
