We packed up & started the first leg of our Hawaii trip, visiting my parents until we fly out this weekend. Yesterday, I checked out progress on an apartment house my parents own (it's 100+ years old), read an interesting book, and made everyone an indulgent dinner. And today, well...I plan to make cheesecake brownies. Hello, vacation!

I really love New House Project. Didn't realize they lived in Japan until I read their "about" page. Isn't it funny how we all find ourselves somewhere completely unexpected and still find some roots to where we're from?

Wait. what? cheesecake brownies! Oh my that sounds heavenly. :o Hope you have a great time in Hawaii. Its been cooler here lately but its a great time of year to come. Everything is green and so much more water in the valley. Let me know if you need any advice on where to go. :)
